Nancy Taylor

Nancy Louise Taylor September 10, 1953 – December 15, 2022

Taylor-Nancy Louise (Van Patter) Taylor passed away peacefully at her home on December 15, 2022 with the love of her life for 33 years at her side.  Nancy leaves behind her husband Bill Taylor, her son Will Humphrey and his wife Jenn Tuer and their sons Wesley and Owen, her daughter Sindy Humphrey, her daughter Hilary Taylor and her husband Fraser Malcolm and their son Tommy, and her son Luke Taylor.  Nancy is also survived by her in-laws Marie and Tom Davies, Joan Taylor, and Lois and Bill Beamish, as well as nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Ray and Dorothy (Ethelston) Van Patter and her sister Janey Van Patter, Nancy will be missed dearly by many family and friends, former STEGH colleagues, Skerryvore family, and United Church members.

As per Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family internment will take place at a later date.

We are celebrating Nancy’s life at the Masonic Centre of Elgin – 42703 Fruit Ridge Line St. Thomas – on Thursday December 22, 2022 from 1:00-5:00 pm, with a toast to Nancy held at 3:00 pm.  Donations may be made to the STEGH Foundation in honour of Nancy are greatly appreciated, flowers are respectfully declined.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for all the love and support Nancy and her family received over the last several months; Nancy truly cherished the time spent with family and friends by her side. A huge thank you also to the STEGH Chemo Unit, the care team at Victoria Cancer Clinic, all the home care members, and Al’s team at Williams Funeral Home.
