Natasha Gubesch

GUBESCH, Natasha – Peacefully, and surrounded by her family, on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Parkwood Institute, at the age of 37. Natasha is survived by her husband Robert Gubesch; her daughter Mea Gubesch; her parents Blage and Gordica Ivanovski; her sisters:  Emilija Ivanovski, Marija Platero (Alex), Ivona Ivanovski (Josh), and Michelle Plachta (Jesse); and by her mother-in-law Sue Gubesch. Natasha will also be missed by her sister-in-law Lisa Hopwood (Trevor) and by her nephews and nieces:  Tyler, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Xaviar and (Baby) Platero. Predeceased by her father-in-law John Gubesch. Natasha was born in Macedonia on March 3, 1981 and came to London, Ontario with her family at the age of 8. She attended high school (graduating in 1999) at Beal Secondary where she enjoyed various sports and keeping very physically active. Until recently, Natasha worked at TLC Laser Eye Centre as a surgical technician. She absolutely loved her job and the team with whom she worked. Being in the public eye was a natural gift for Natasha as from the moment you came in contact with her, you became magnetized by her infectious smile and outgoing personality. She had a heart of gold and her positive outlook on life was something to be marveled:  she found a silver lining in all situations. She always saw the best in everyone and was incredibly selfless. Natasha tackled her four-plus year battle with cancer head-on with the utmost courage, strength and dignity, until her final breath. Growing up the second eldest of five girls made her develop an unconditional love for her family. Natasha absolutely adored her daughter, Mea and her husband, Rob, and let them know that every single day. During her battle, even on her most physically and emotionally challenging days, Natasha always put her family and dear friends before herself. Making the transition to an Angel in Heaven will come very easily for this beautiful, young soul. In the years to come, we know Natasha will continue to watch over all her many loved ones in the same Angelic way she did during her short time on earth. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Natasha’s most desired wish was that Mea grow up to be a kind, caring, respectful and educated young lady. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a trust fund that has been set up in Mea’s name for her future education. Cheques may be made payable to ‘Robert Gubesch, in trust for Mea Gubesch’ and left at the funeral home, or mailed to Bank of Montreal, 1315 Commissioners Road East, London, Ontario N6M 0B8.
