Olive Williamson

Williamson, Olive Norah of St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Williamson(2010). Dear step-mother of the late Mary Stout, grandmother of the late Kenneth Stout(Beth), great-grandmother of Andrea and Matthew Stout. Survived by several nieces and nephews and son-in-law Tom Stout(Yvonne).  Predeceased by her brother Donald Pickston(Lily). Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on July 9, 1927, daughter of the late James and Doris(Stacey) Pickston. Olive was a Registered Nurse, having been a 1948 graduate of Grace Hospital, Windsor. She was a Matron of the United Church Hospitals in Bella Coola and Hazelton, British Columbia and was the former Assistant Director of Nursing Service at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Olive lived in Aylmer for over 40 years and moved to St. Thomas in 1995. She was a member in the U.C.W. and Christian Education at St. Paul’s United Church. While in St. Thomas, she was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a member of the Knox Presbyterian Women, and the W.M.S. The funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation-burial, Avon Cemetery. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
