Ray Kennedy

Kennedy, Ray of Aylmer passed away peacefully at Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was 95 years old. Beloved husband of the late Helen(Granger) Kennedy(2017).  Loving father of Patrick Kennedy(Gerarda) of Nova Scotia and Sandra Campbell(Rob) of Lambeth. He will be missed by his grandchildren Alicia(Keith), Rae, Larissa(Bill), Connor(Shannon) and his great-grandchildren Asa, Veruca, Dylan, Wynne, Sloan and Kane.  Brother of Bev Kennedy.  Also survived by a brother-in-law Lyle Lemon and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Roy and Jack and in-laws Anna Lemon, Genevieve Graham, Loyall, Chuck and Bill Granger.  Born in Bayham Township on March 3, 1930, son of the late Robert and Gertrude(Roberts) Kennedy. Ray drove transport for Walker Transport. He loved staying active with the Aylmer Lawn Bowling Club, the Aylmer Curling Club, enjoyed square dancing and was an avid reader. Ray and Helen enjoyed vacationing for many years at Manitoulin Island. Family was his greatest joy, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will always be affectionately remembered as Poppo, Grampa, Gramps and GG. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
