Born on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1935, Retta Ethel Irene Luce (nee Brown) passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at approximately 12:35am surrounded by her loving family at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Norman (1991) and the father of her children Bert (2003). Loving Mother to Marvin Luce (Heather Rothenberg); Irene Charlton (the late William Larry) and Albert Luce. Grandmother to Marvin Jr. (Kim), Kim (Brad), Rocki, Terry, Jody (Rob), Bill (Jen), Jana (Greg), Leanne (Julio), AJ (Jessica); Norman (Lindsay). Great grandmother to many great grandchildren. Sister to Silas (Deb) and Ray. Predeceased by her parents Marshall and Velma, brothers Robert “Bobby”, James “Jim”, Donald, Roy and sister Marguerite. Grandma Ducks loved to can and loved to garden. She loved to play scrabble, listen to country music and loved to dance.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, ON, (519) 842-5221 on Thursday November 24, 2022 2:00pm until 4:00pm and then 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Service for Retta will be held Friday November 25, 2022 at 1:00pm. Burial will be held at Straffordville Cemetery.
