Viktor Dietrich

Peacefully, with his family by his side, Viktor Dietrich passed away on August 21, 2025 in his 76th year.

Born June 15, 1950 in Kopeysk, Russia, to a German family in the Soviet Union, Viktor’s early life under post-war communism instilled in him deep gratitude for the freedoms he later enjoyed. In 1989, he and his family immigrated to Germany under the reunification policies of Chancellor Helmut Kohl. He and his wife enjoyed spending the last decade between their homes near their children in Austria and Canada.

Beloved husband of Olga (Müller) for 50 years. Loving father of Larissa (Waldemar) Anselm of Aylmer, Ontario; Eduard (Lilia) of Aylmer, Ontario; Paul (Liane) of Dalaas, Austria; and Julia (Herbert) Hildebrandt of Aylmer, Ontario. Devoted grandfather of Lydia (Willy), Rebecca, Noah, Ruben, Tabitha, Sarah, Tobias, Janna, Benjamin, Lisa, Milena, Sven, Jonas, Janae, Marc, and David, and great-grandfather of Phillip.

A devoted follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, Viktor was a faithful member of the Church of God and attended the congregations in Wald, Austria, and Aylmer, Ontario. His faith in God was resolute and he is now resting in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 7–9 p.m. at the Church of God, 751 John St. N., Aylmer. The funeral service will take place at the Church of God on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Henry Hildebrandt officiating. Interment to follow at the Aylmer Cemetery.
