Public fundraising for Terrace Lodge?
Malahide Deputy Mayor Mike Wolfe has called for his township plus Aylmer and Bayham to form a committee to raise money through public donations for the $29-million replacement of Terrace Lodge long-term care home.
He was at a county council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 27, where Elgin Administrator Mark McDonald had reported on similar campaigns for the rebuilding of the county’s two other homes for seniors, Bobier Villa in Dutton and Elgin Manor in Southwold.
Each of those efforts raised from $600,000 to $700,000.
