Springwater hosts “Fred Heads” for charity picnic

David Celia and Marla performed to a captive audience on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 20 during the 22nd annual Fred Eaglesmith Charity Picnic at Springwater Conservation Area southwest of Aylmer. Mr. Celia is a Toronto-based alternative folk singer-songwriter and guitarist who has teamed up with Marla, a 20-year-old aspiring singer from Germany, for a tour that included the stop at the charity picnic that started on the Friday night and continued into Sunday. This year proceeds from the charity picnic will go towards Elephant Thoughts Charity, an organization that provides education to the poorest children at home and abroad.
