Bob Sterenberg

Sterenberg, Bob of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, February 20, 2025 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Dena(Van Harn) Sterenberg(2022). Bob is survived by his daughter Diana, granddaughters Stephanie(Andrew) and Amanda(Brandon) and his great-grandchildren Louis and Holland. Dear brother of Jennie Veldboom (Arnold). Special thanks to Meca Hoogstra and Jim and Anne Nace for their support over the past few years. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Roelf, John and sister Jannie. Born in Baflo, The Netherlands on September 10, 1933, son of the late Marten and Antje(Meerstra) Sterenberg. Bob was a faithful member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. He was a longtime resident of College Line, R.R.4, Aylmer and later moved to St. Thomas. He worked at Hartz Canada. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow Aylmer Cemetery.
