Which way do we go?

Drivers competed in the first heat of a “Figure 8” race at Aylmer Fair’s “Demo Day” Saturday afternoon, Aug. 13. A couple laps after they started, officials realized the racers were going around in an oval, and reminded them they had to wheel about in a Figure 8. Hilariously, some started going one way and some the other, before they all get headed in the right direction. A full crowd finally occupied the grandstands Saturday, after two days of lacklustre attendance being blamed on extremely hot, humid weather. “Demo Day” events continue with a small-car demolition derby Saturday afternoon, and then full-sized cars beginning at 7 p.m. The weather being predicted for Sunday is much more moderate.
