Abe Friesen

Friesen, Abram “Abe” of Aylmer passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He was 84 years old. Beloved husband of Kathy(Giesbrecht) Friesen. Dear father of Nettie McQuiggan(David) of Burlington, Helen Hanson(Steve) of McKellar, Susan Kinsey(Steve) of Aylmer, Pauline Neufeld(Peter) of Thessalon and Karen Singer(David) of Sparta. Loving grandpa to 13 grandchildren and great-grandpa to 20 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by 7 brothers, 3 sisters, his extended family and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by granddaughter Drew Neufeld, great-grandson Junior Reddecopp, brother Isaac and sister Tina. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on October 13, 1941 son of the late Cornelius and Katharina(Neudorf) Friesen and step-son of the late Helen(Klassen) Friesen.

Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Open Bible Baptist Church on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
