ANNE RIMNYAK

 JANUARY 27, 1928– AUGUST 4, 2021

 

Passed away peacefully at Maple Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the age of 93.   Anne leaves behind a son Bill Rimnyak (Linda) and a daughter Betty Ostrander (Harry). Anne was a much loved Grandma to Bill Rimnyak Jr. (Trish) and Nicole Shewan (Mike).  She was a cherished Great Grandma to Hannah, Lucas and Jared. Dear Sister of Steve Csire (Elaine) and Late Jim Csire (Sharon). Anne was predeceased by her Mother and Father Albert Csire and Anna (Nagy), Brother Stephen, Sister Irene, Sons Nicky and Frankie. Born in Fehirgyarmat, Hungary, Anne came to Canada at the age of 3, disembarking in Halifax and from there settled in Niagara Falls. Later the family moved to Southwestern Ontario to share grow tobacco. Anne married Nick Rimnyak and moved to Springwater (Aylmer) to grow tobacco for 20 years. From there she moved to Delhi to work at the Delhi Nursing Home. Anne loved to cook and bake, especially her favourite walnut rolls and walnut kifli.  Anne was also a passionate gardener.  She could always be found in the kitchen busying herself, even late at night, making cookies for Nicole and Bill to take to school. The family would like to thank Dr. Abdulla for his excellent care and the team of nurses at TDMH. A special thank you to Dr. Lisa Dalby and Dr. John Andrew for their attentive care and all the staff at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg especially Shelly Wall and Shelly Warbobys. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery. An Expression of Sympathy may be made to Helping Paws Rescue or the Charity of your Choice and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 81, 211 John St N, Aylmer, ON N5H 2B2, Please be advised that masks are mandatory by all guests and social distancing will be required.
