DeKraker, Rodger of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, May 22, 2022 in his 55th year. Beloved partner of Tracy(Hooks) Riley. Loving father of Dylan(Lauren), Missy(Austin), Grace Lounsbury(Kevin), and Adam and stepfather of Ashleigh(Josh), Justine, Brittany, and William. Dear grandfather of Quinn. Brother of Marianne VanGoor(Martin), Teresa Verkley(Jeff), Peter DeKraker(Sherry), Betty DeKraker(Chris Connolly), and Jeff DeKraker. He will be missed by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Born in St. Thomas on May 16, 1968, son of the late Bob and Ann(Westerterp) DeKraker. Rodger was a woodworker and carpenter. He was a professional firefighter for the Guelph Fire Department for over 20 years and a volunteer firefighter for the Aylmer Fire Department. He coached football at East Elgin Secondary School and London Junior Mustangs. Rodger and Tracy built their retirement home near Haliburton. Online, he operated TimberWool, wood products and gifts. His greatest joy was his children. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday and Thursday 6-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Bradley St. Church of God on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00am. Donations to the Aylmer Fire Fighters Association or Guelph Fire Fighters Association would be appreciated.
