Aylmer Shoppers Drug Mart to be sold

The Shoppers Drug Mart in Aylmer will be sold as a result of the Loblaw takeover of the pharmacy chain.

A merger of two large retail chains was approved by the federal Competition Bureau effective March 28.

As part of the Competition Bureau approval, Loblaw is required to sell 18 stores including Shoppers Drug Marts in Aylmer, Exeter, Petrolia and Mount Forest and No Frills grocery stores in Blenheim and Elmira.

Pharmacies in nine grocery stores owned by Loblaw in Tillsonburg, Ingersoll and Listowel will also be sold.

what is going in place of shoppers or has that been decided?

I feel that the stores that are closings are once again in small towns. Maybe for a change it would be good to see thinfs be sold in towns where there is more then one shoppers. Small towns count on what they have in there area.
