Cardboard boat race thrills in Port Stanley

Kennedy Weir, left, Ryk Hindley and his siblings Laine and Helaine approached the finish line of the cardboard boat open class race during Canfest in Port Stanley on Sunday afternoon, June 20. The race was held on the water on the west side of harbour at what was once the old boat slips at the end of Carlow Road. Ms. Weir and the Hindley siblings won the race easily in their killer whale themed boat. Prior to the open class, a children’s race was held.
