Fireworks over Port Bruce

Spectators crowded the beach in Port Bruce to watch a fireworks display marking the end of summer on Saturday night, Sept. 25. The event was organized by Malahide volunteer firefighters. The display would have been put on earlier in the year, but COVID-19 restrictions prevented that until now. Hundreds attended. (AE/Rob Perry)

Good to see life returning to a semblance of normal.
It will get better as more people opt for being fully vaccinated.
It would be nice to have a Health Care system that could handle anything Nature throws at us, but we don’t. No one is being forced to get the vaccine, but the majority will demand protection from those who choose to be vulnerable to the virus and continue it’s spread.
I would like to see a totally voluntary program, with QR code verification, of businesses that claim vaccination compliance. In this way vaccinated members of society could avoid higher probability sources and possible Covid-19 infection points with less protection. In this way the fully vaccinated would be taking steps to protect the vulnerable.
I take the vaccine not only to protect Myself, but You also.
