John Volekaert

Volekaert, John Camiel of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, April 29, 2022 in his 76th year. Beloved life partner and best friend of Stephanie Hannah. Dear father of Lisa Volekaert(late Michael Alexander) and Melissa Lander(Rob) and loving stepfather of Erin Hannah(Sean Miller) and Brooke Heath(Michael). Cherished grandpa of Sadie and Poppops of Blake, Joshua and Everly. Predeceased by his sister Jenny Volekaert.  Born in Belgium on July 8, 1946, son of the late Jerome and Simonne(Dewilde) Volekaert. John was a real estate broker in Aylmer for many years. He was an active member of the Optimist Club and the Knights of Columbus. Known to many as John V.; he enjoyed spending time with friends at the Aylmer Legion. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
