Providencio “Paul” Enriquez

It is with great sadness that we the family of “Paul” Enriquez, wish to announce the sudden but peaceful passing of the much-loved husband of Anne. Paul passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 91. Paul was born in Romblon, Philippines, son of the late Eulogio Enriquez and the late former Eugenia de Castro Sarmiento. Over his working years, Paul was a dedicated Nursing Assistant and Orderly at Humber Memorial for several years, completing his career at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital with 23 years of service. Paul was an avid gardener, groundskeeper and he enjoyed cooking at home for his family and friends. Paul loved to travel and see new places. He was looking forward to a trip to the east coast this month. Paul was a dedicated member of the Bradley Street Church of God, Aylmer.

Paul is survived by his loving and much-loved wife and travel partner of almost 30 years, Anne (Peters) Enriquez, of Tillsonburg, his children and their families: Roviden “Dennis” (Jeannie), of Hawaii and their children Roviden Jr., Jenevieve, Chad and Jason; Eugene (Kristopher), of Dawson Creek, B.C.; Steven (Stephanie), of Windsor, their son Drake and four step-grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by many family members and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Enriqueta, Jacinto, Abelardo, Antonio, and Paquito.

Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Friday, June 5, 2026, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A Funeral Service to Celebrate Paul’s Life and Faith will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Ruben Reisdorf, of Bradley Street Church of God. Interment follows in Tillsonburg Cemetery. After interment, all funeral attendees are invited to join the Enriquez family for a reception at Bradley Street Church of God (5 Bradley St, Aylmer).
