WeedMD of Aylmer gets marijuana licence

WeedMD Rx Inc. announced Monday, April 25, that it had received a licence from Health Canada to begin growing marijuana for medical purposes for patients across Canada at its site on Elm Street North in Aylmer.

The plant, 25,000 square feet in area, is in a former Imperial Tobacco Canada building that sits on four acres of land. The company says it could expand its indoor growing to up to 100,000 square feet through expansion in future.
