Ralph Pettit

Surrounded by family, Ralph Pettit passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on June 5, 2026 in his 89th year.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce (Hounsell), his parents Melvin and Clara and his brothers Murray and Neil.

He was born August 10, 1937 and was raised on the family farm near Belmont. He enjoyed farming, his family, his Kubota tractor and his dogs.

He is survived by his children, Mary, Ann (Kim), James (MaryAnn), John (Amanda) and Chris (Jennifer). Loving grandfather and great-grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m. where the funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery.
