Amanda McCorkle

It is with unbearable grief that we announce the tragic passing of Amanda Lynn McCorkle, on August 12, 2026, at the age of 32. Amanda passed suddenly from a pulmonary embolism, just 11 days after giving birth to her beautiful son, Boden Peter Charles Dunlop.

Amanda, affectionately known as Manda, was the youngest child of Kimberley and Larry McCorkle of West Lorne and the beloved baby sister of Brent and Erin McCorkle (Andrew Hynes). She was a loving and doting aunt to Lucas Hynes of Rodney.

Amanda found the love of her life in her fiancé, Cody Dunlop of Aylmer. Together, Cody and Amanda were joyfully beginning their lives as new parents. Amanda was absolutely overjoyed to become a mother and was so incredibly proud to show her beautiful son, Boden, to the world.

Amanda was truly one of a kind, an incredible partner, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. For Amanda, family was everything. She loved deeply, loved fiercely, and was so deeply loved in return.

Amanda was brave, strong, fiercely loyal, and never afraid to tell it like it was. Her sense of humour, kind heart and whimsical spirit could be felt in every room she walked into. She loved the Toronto Blue Jays and rarely missed a game. She loved to boogie, sing karaoke, travel, and was always ready for the next adventure. Amanda’s outgoing, loving and loyal personality allowed her to create lifelong friendships, while making new friends wherever she went.

She will be lovingly missed by her grandparents, John and Donna Reynolds of St. Thomas, as well as her many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who were lucky enough to know and love her.

There are no words that can ease the unimaginable pain of Amanda’s loss. She leaves behind a family and community whose hearts will forever carry the weight of losing her far too soon. But in the midst of this profound heartbreak, there is comfort in knowing that a piece of Amanda will live on in the most beautiful way, in her beloved son, Boden.

Amanda’s love, laughter, strength and spirit will live on through everyone who knew her, and most especially through the little boy who will grow up knowing just how deeply his mama loved him.

She was here. She was loved. She made an impact.

And she will never, ever be forgotten. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 1-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Bradley Street Church, (John St. S. Aylmer) on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will follow at Wildflowers Farm(42338 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas).
