Ernest Gough

Ernest Francis Gough, 90, passed away on January 18, 2025. He was a beloved great-grandfather, grandfather, father, husband, uncle, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ernest was born on November 22, 1934, in Springfield, Ontario. In the early years of his life, Ernest found work and a home in Toronto, Ontario. This is where he met wife Joan, whom he would eventually marry. ln the 1970’s Ernest moved back to Elgin County with Joan, and his sons Karl, Dale, and Kevin. Ernest had a passion for hobby farming and riding his ATV. He wanted the best for his family and those who knew him. Ernest enjoyed gardening, tinkering, tending to his family and friends. Ernest had a soft spot for animals, especially Boston Terriers.

Ernest is survived by his sons Karl (Ingrid), Dale, and. Kevin. His grandchildren, Andrew, Nolan and Sylvia, and great-grandchildren, Ava, Aiden, Kamden, Tristan and Lilly. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

At the request of Ernest, cremation has taken place and there won’t be a funeral service.
