New Sarum “Volleyball Extravaganza”

Grade 5 pupil Jocelyn Drenth returned a serve during a two-hour “Volleyball Extravaganza” at New Sarum Public School, Wednesday, Jan. 22. Grade 5 through 8 pupils participated in the event, which was raising money for a planned Grade 8 graduation trip to Camp Celtic in the Bruce Peninsula in the spring.

Two wins and a loss at tournament

Devon Catt of East Elgin Secondary School recovered the ball rushed the London Montcalm net during the final of a Senior boys basketball tournament at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in St. Thomas, Saturday night. EESS defeated London Laurier 45-41 and host St. Joe’s 42-29 before losing 71-51 to Montcalm in the championship game.
