Edna Borremans
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edna Borremans (nee Edwards) on June 3, 2026 at St. Thomas General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Albert Borremans in 2012.
She was a devoted and loving mother to Pat Grau (Willy) of St. Thomas, John Borremans of St. Thomas and Anne MacDonald (Kory) of Aylmer.
Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandchildren: Lisa (predeceased 1993), Melissa (Brian), Andrew, Amber, Craig (Amber), James, Chelsea (Logan), and Josh (Alexis); her treasured great-grandchildren: Cody (Kenzie), Austin, Dylan, Aiden and Quinn; and her great-great-grandson, Greyson.
Edna will also be deeply missed by her brother, Bill Edwards, and by her niece, Marcy (Rick), and nephew Scott (Kim).
To all that knew her, Edna had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel welcomed, cared for, and valued.
Edna found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She lovingly tended her plants and had a special affection for the stray cats that often found their way to her doorstep. They seemed drawn to her gentle nature and caring heart, finding comfort and kindness in her presence.
Though her passing leaves a tremendous void in our hearts, her family takes comfort in knowing the loved she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain with us always.
In accordance with Edna’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at 169 Fath Ave., Aylmer on July 4, 2026 from 1-3 p.m.
