It is with sadness that we the family of Peter Klassen wish to announce his peaceful passing at home, after a courageous struggle with illness, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the age of 76. Peter was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, son of the late Peter and Maria (Wall) Klassen. Over his working years, Peter was a driver for various transport truck companies. He then had a retirement delivery job at Klassen Auto Parts. He will be remembered by family and friends for his love of motorcycle riding, woodworking skills and for his enjoyment of working on cars and his yard. Above all else, Peter was a devoted husband, father and very proud grandfather – he enjoyed building various items for his grandchildren, fixing their cars to keep them safe and spending as much time as he could with them. Peter was the loving and much loved husband to Cathy (Peters) Klassen, of Straffordville. Together they raised their sons: Daniel Klassen, of Straffordville and his children Teri (Joel Lines), Alex Klassen, Erin (Justin Levinson); John Klassen (Jennifer), of Tillsonburg and their children Jordan (Erica) Klassen (their kids Caleb, Emma), Jelissa (Jake Martin) (their son Kane); Isaac (Wendy) Klassen, of Straffordville and children Zachery Simons, Kevina Simons (kids Addisyn, Noah), Michelle (Austin Wick) (their daughter Paisley). Survived by eight siblings and their families. Also predeceased by his parents and one sister.

 Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. at Straffordville Evangelical Mission Church. A funeral service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the church, by Pastor Abe Berg. Interment followed in Straffordville Cemetery.
