Riders Care2Cycle

Stewart Wells, 4, left, received some pointers from Micah Schuurman, 12, during the “Rabbit Rodeo” component of the Care2Cycle event at Immanuel Christian School on Saturday morning, Oct. 15. After the bicycle rodeo for children ages 4-8, 25 riders embarked on one of three cycling routes of 10 kilometres, 20 km or 50 km. A 5 km walking route was also offered. Care2Cycle is an annual event Immanuel Christian School holds to raise money for various causes. This year the event raised about $2,700 to benefit the school’s Student Fund, sponsorship of a “Compassion Child,” field trips and the school library. Immanuel Christian School’s Compassion Child, Helen, lives in El Salvador.
