A cherished son-in-law of William and MaryAnne (Peters) Wiebe of La Crete, Alberta and brother-in-law to Marie (Dave), Sandra (Larry), Martha (Peter) and Kathryn (Dale).
Eddy’s life was marked by a profound commitment to Mennonite heritage education and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside his parents, he co-founded and led Rempel Properties Inc., showcasing his resilience and leadership. His steadfast faith in Jesus, generosity, and compassion were an inspiration to his siblings and children. Known for his competitive spirit, Eddy was affectionately nicknamed “Rambo”.
Eddy’s favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:1-6, was a reflection of his own life – a journey marked by humility, patience, and a commitment to unity and peace.
We extend special thanks to friends and family who supported Eddy with wheelchair ramps, beds, meals, and prayerful visits during his time of need.
In honor of Eddy’s life and legacy, instead of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Community Services, an organization close to his heart, where he served as Executive Director.
