Jane Eastman

1931-2026

Jane Eastman peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 94 years. Jane was the cousin to Robert Irwin (Silvia), Albert White (Rosemary), Margaret Brooks (late Bud), Janet West (late Rob), Barbara Olivera (Javier), late Joyce Irving (late George), late Jean Buck (Jim), late Glen White (Pat) and late Fred White.

She will be forever missed by her extended family and dear friend Viviane Cote. Predeceased by her parents William Eastman and Pearl Eastman (nee White) and long-time friend Marcel Généreux.

As per Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will occur at a later date.

In true iconoclast fashion, no flowers or donations are requested. Instead, Jane would want you to turn off your phone, lace up your boots, and head out into the northern woods. Take a quiet walk among the pines, look for a soaring hawk and remember a life fiercely and independently lived.
