CHAPLOW – Clifford and Marie
Have completed their 72-year life journey together, peacefully with their children Mark Chaplow (Kathy) and Beth Chaplow Secord (Steve) by their side.
Both Cliff and Marie were long standing members of Knox Presbyterian Church. Cliff served as an Elder for many years. Marie was a member of the Church choir, Ladies Aid and WMS. Marie was also a member of I.O.D.E.
Cliff was a well-known barber for 46 years. He served as President of the former St. Thomas Barbers Assoc. and as President of the Ross St. Merchants Assoc. Cliff was also a founding member of the Elgin County Railway Museum.
Marie graduated from AVSS and went on to work for Elgin Parks wholesale, then for Allview Cable for many years. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Both were members of the St. Thomas Antique Club.
Preceded by William and Laura Chaplow, brother Wayne, sister Dorothy (Hugh) Orchard and granddaughter Ashley DeMoor. Survived by grandson Kyle DeMoor (Stacy) of Australia and granddaughter Jessica (Merlin) and sons of New Zealand.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Elgin County Railway Museum or Knox Presbyterian Church.
