Peter Dekoster

Dekoster – Petrus “Peter” Cornelis of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 87. Dearly loved partner of Darlene Wareham and loved father of Peter John Dekoster (Tammy), and Anne Marie Dekoster (Grant). Loved grandfather of Kayla, Cyllan and Brandon. Extended special family Brenda Snow (Brian), Alvin Wareham (Linda) and John Wareham (Joy) Nicole, Deidra, Stephen, Brandon, Justin, Melanie and Julia. Sadly missed by a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Elizabeth Dekoster and Mariane Hennessy (Bill). Predeceased by siblings Martin Dekoster, John Dekoster (Janice) and Mary Lou Rempkens (Henk). Peter was born in Tilburg, Netherlands on May 28, 1937, the son of the late Pieter Dekoster and Corie (VanDepol) Dekoster. Peter was self employed in construction. He was proud of serving with the Dutch Marines in Holland.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the service of remembrance. Cremation has taken place. Private interment in the Queen of Peace Cemetery, with his parents. Remembrances would be appreciated to the London Regional Cancer Centre.
