Jack Wesley Austin

AUSTIN, Jack Wesley of Aylmer passed away at Terrace Lodge on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in his 80th year.  Husband of the late Ruby (Crosset) Austin (2017).  Step-father of Ann Clarke (Cory) of Dutton and Russell Baker of St. Thomas.  Dear brother of Jim Austin of Dutton; Bill Austin (Becky) of Woodstock; Jo Bardawill (late Gerry) of St. Thomas; Joan Long (Ken) of Forest and sister-in-law Gail of Tillsonburg.  Also survived by his step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   Predeceased by his step-sons Scott, and Darryl Austin, sister Margaret Martin and his brother Ron. Born in Aylmer on December 22, 1938, son of the late George Austin and Ruth (Keillor) Austin-Hutchinson. Jack served in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force from 1958-59 and NATO from 1964-67. He was a member of Col. Talbot Branch #81 of the Royal Canadian Legion.  A funeral service was held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, November 2, 2018.  Cremation to follow.  Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.  Donations to the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.  Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
