Learning about pumpkins at Clovermead

Pupils from Springfield Public School (Grades 1-3) and London Byron Somerset Public School watched as a small pumpkin was shot from a large catapult at Clovermead Adventure Farm north of Aylmer on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29. The beekeeping farm hosted school field trips from across the region that week and taught pupils all about pumpkins during an indoor presentation. Afterwards the pupils witnessed pumpkins and other farmyard items being blown out of cannons and shot by catapults before moving to the pumpkin patch and choosing a small pumpkin to take home.
