Mark Toebast
Toebast, Mark Adiel Theo (July 7, 1972 – July 18, 2023)
It is with sadness, we the family wish to announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of our much-loved brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend, Mark Adiel Theo Toebast, a resident of Rolph St., Tillsonburg, passed away at VON Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock, on July 18th, 2023. Mark was born in Tillsonburg, to his parents late Theo and Rita (Spriet) Toebast. Mark enjoyed socializing with friends, driving, fishing, and walking uptown in Tillsonburg. Mark was a former labourer in the city of London. Loving pet parent to his cat Elvira and predeceased by his cat Casper. Mark is survived by his siblings Rose (Mark Gardner), of Straffordville; Jennifer Toebast, of London; Joanne (Mike Habl), of Peterborough. Special uncle to Melanie Gardner (Ian Baker); Mark Gardner and caring great-uncle to Darson Gardner. Predeceased by his sister Mary Toebast (1998).
In keeping with Mark’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27th, 2023, in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. A public graveside service will be held on Friday, July 28th, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, 24 Albert St., Langton, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. All funeral attendees are invited to attend a reception, to be held at Courtland Community Centre (272 Main Street), immediately following the graveside service.
