Fred Dean

Dean, Fred of Tillsonburg passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, July 8, 2024 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Delores Vandendriessche(2011) and husband of the late Marjorie (Beckman)Dean(1975).  Loving father of Cindy Irving(Chuck) of Nova Scotia and step-father of Diane Lazenby(Ken) of Aylmer. Brother of Elaine. Grandfather of Patricia, Ryan and Krista. He will be missed by his niece Pam and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his fur babies Molly and Tigger. Predeceased by his son Barry Dean(2008), brothers Earl and Larry and sister Velda.  Born in Caradoc Township, Ontario on April 10, 1931, son of the late Jerome and Iva(Sherman) Dean. Fred was a mechanic and truck driver for Overland Express and also drove school bus. He found great joy in tinkering with antiques and steam engines. He was an avid fisherman. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Scott and Tammy Deslauriers (19 Hillview Drive Mossley, Ontario N0L 1V0) on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 2-4:00 p.m. Cremation-burial, Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
