Alice Kuipers
Kuipers, Aaltien “Alice” of St. Thomas and formerly of Aylmer passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, May 25, 2026. She was 92 years old. Wife of the late Ted Kuipers(2020). Loving mother of Terry Kuipers of Port Stanley, Hetty Teuber(Dick Fisher) of Glanworth, John Kuipers of St. Thomas and Tessa Kuipers(Charlie Hiemstra) of St. Thomas and mother-in-law of Dianna Kuipers of Ingersoll. Loving Oma of Amber(Rueben), Jordan(Nikki), Logan(Nicole), Tyler(Allison), Melissa(Mark), Michael(Tamar), David(Danielle), Acie, Alytta(Chris), Anson(Jaston), Heather(Jeremy), Katlin(Robyn), Dana(Devin) and Dylan. She will be missed by her siblings Biny Egmond(Reel), John Hunse(Ellen) and Henrietta Hunse(Jim) and a number of great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Wilfred Kuipers(2006), son-in-law Gord Teuber(2003), daughter-in-law Tracy Kuipers(2011), sisters Alberta Vos, Ella Heslinga and brothers Teun Hunse and Lambert Hunse. Born in Beilen, The Netherlands on November 23, 1933, daughter of the late Hendrik and Jantje Hunse.
Alice had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful gardens, which brought her much happiness. She also loved to travel and was always ready for a new adventure. Many cherished winters were spent enjoying the sunshine and warmth of Florida. Alice will be remembered for her spirited personality, sharp sense of humour, and mischievous manner that so often brought joy and laughter to others.
Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
