Donald Ralf

1953 – 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donald Allan Ralf of Innisfail, Alberta, on October 28, 2026. Donald Allan Ralf was born June 11, 1953 in Tillsonburg, Ontario, 5th child of Fred and Ella Mae Ralf of Aylmer, Ontario. Don spent his youth working on the family farm, riding dirt bikes and partaking in general youthful shenanigans. Don hit the lottery when he met the love of this life, Deborah. A shared ride out west blossomed into a lifetime of love. After marrying in 1983, they settled in Alberta and built a life on “the farm”, outside of Innisfail. Their family was complete with the birth of their beloved son Matthew in 1985. Don ran his construction company, as well as their cattle operations, for many years alongside Deb,  building a beautiful life for the three of them along the way.

In his spare time Don could be found chopping wood or riding his Harley. But chances are, if he had the time, he was fishing. Summer or winter, Don loved to fish. A passion he shared with his little brother and dearest friends. Don and Deb hosted a legendary May long weekend pig roast. A wonderful weekend turned friends into family for 30 years. Known for his huge heart and generosity, Don was a man you could always count on. In good times and bad.

Left to cherish Don’s memory are his beloved wife Deborah, brother Richard (Karen) Ralf, sister Rose (Jeff) Hinds, brother Andy Ralf, sister Donna Sheppard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and treasured friends. Don was predeceased by his son Matthew, parents Fred and Ella Mae Ralf, sister Diane Ralf and brother Stanley Ralf. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
