Minnie Hiemstra
Safely into the arms of Jesus, with her family by her side Minnie Hiemstra, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Andy Hiemstra(2011). Dear mother of Wilf(Trudy), Ray, Sharlene and Monica(Dwayne). Greatly loved grandma of fourteen; Ashley, Tyler(Nicole), Brandon(Maggie), Chelsey, Selena, Bradley(Milcah), Matt, Darren, Andrea, Thomas, Jocelyn, Jared, Logan and Vincent and ten special great-grandchildren. Sister of Henry(Alaine), Corrie(George), Bernard(late Jayne) and Annie(late John). Dearly missed by brothers-in-law Theo(late Ann) and John(late Christine). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Jeffery(2011), brother Toney Helder(late Margaret) and sisters Jayne(Harry), Joanne(Ralph) and in-laws Wytze(Janny), Andries(Pat) and Jack(Dien). Born in The Netherlands on March 30, 1941, daughter of the late Alle and Zwaantje(Van Kooten) Helder. Minnie was a faithful member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Alongside her husband Andy, they owned and operated the Flower Fountain. Minnie loved to greet the customers and make new friends. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 5-8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held prior to the funeral at the Aylmer Cemetery on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Donations to Immanuel Christian School would be appreciated. Thanks to all the staff at AgeCare for their loving care of our mom and grandma. Also special thanks to her granddaughter, Nurse Ashley for using her skills to make her comfortable in her last days.
