Edna De Leebeeck

Edna Maria De Leebeeck passed away, peacefully, on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home, Edna Maria (Barbier) De Leebeeck a resident of RR3 Delhi at the age of 92 years. Born in Tilbury East Township, daughter of the late Leon Barbier and the late Bertha (Lava/Barbier) DeWinne. Edna was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Langton and Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s League for many years. Edna helped her husband Steve on the homestead tobacco farm at RR3 Delhi and together they proudly raised their two sons on the farm. Edna worked for years at the Canadian Leaf Tobacco Factory, Tillsonburg.

Edna was predeceased by her much-loved husband of 53 years Steve (April 10, 2005). Loved mom of David (Pat) De Leebeeck and Brian De Leebeeck (Sue Bayly); proud and loving grandma of Megan (Jamie), Alison (Jayme) and Michael. Proud Great-Grandma of: Brennan, Brynn and Broden; Oaklyn. Step great-grandchildren: Derek, Hailee, Jaxon, Cameron and Allie. Predeceased by two brothers: Albert (Annie) Barbier, Willie (Julie) Barbier. Survived by in-laws Audrey De Leebeeck, Millie Marynissen, Francis and Archie van Hende, Julie and Case Marynissen, Louise and Steve VanRompaey, Frank Aarts, Robert and Marian De Leebeeck. Predeceased by several in-laws. Survived by much loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to funeral home Visitation at the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Home – Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 40 Queen Street, Langton on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s League Prayers took place Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Langton. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 24 Albert Street, Langton, by Rev. Father Seejo John.
