Kathy Daniel

Daniel, Kathy Louise (Hutchison) of St. Thomas passed in the presence of a beautiful October full moon, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Charlie “Chuck” Daniel. Loved mother of Jason Diesbourg (Cathy), Joel Diesbourg (Stacey) and Matthew Diesbourg (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother of Cassandra (Seth) and Kaiden. Dear sister of Karen (Brian) Chatfield and sister in-law of Joyce, Sheila and Gerry. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Ross Hutchison and May Hutchison (Chase). Lovingly remembered by a number of nieces and nephews, and her fur baby kitty Pumpkin, faithful mother to 13 others.

Kathy was retired from the St. Thomas Health Unit (Dental Educator and Tobacco Enforcement). She was a volunteer with Animal Aide. She loved music and was a piano teacher. She was a faithful Maple Leafs Fan and loved her Beatles.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior from 12-1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Animal Aide or Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners (Elgin Office).
