George Beard

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Neil Beard on Tuesday June 18, 2024.

A loving husband and best friend to Sally. A great Dad to Matthew (Amanda), Nick (Marie), Jeremy, and Alex (Carole). He adored being Papa to Madeline, Evelyn and Caitlyn; Austin and Zack; Mariam, Malachi, Anneliese and Chloe. A special brother to Anne, Wayne (Jennifer), and Greg (Deb). Son-in-law of Gladys Goodhue. Brother-in- law to Bonnie Parkins, John Goodhue (Anna), and Marianne Boughner (Chris). A dog dad to Eddie and Ellie. Predeceased by his parents George Sr. and Mary Beard.

George was a lifetime farmer. He loved milking cows and when he retired from that, he milked cows for a neighbour once a week. George was the janitor at Avondale United Church. He was especially proud of being part of hosting the homeless at Avondale Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Avondale United Church, 60 Harvey St., Tillsonburg, with a reception after the Service.
