Gertrude Ida “Gertie” Goeckler

GOECKLER, Gertrude Ida “Gertie” of R.R.5 Aylmer,  passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, March 17, 2018. She was 84. Beloved wife of the late George Goeckler (2005).  Loving mother of Trudy Bunde and husband Jon, mother-in-law to Brenda and proud Oma to Connor, Sam and Ben.  Predeceased by her sons Ed (2011) and Ricky (1975).  Born in Hamilton, Ontario on May 9, 1933, daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Balbach) Neukamm.  Gertie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the German Canadian Club.  The funeral service was held at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
