Dorothy Acre

ACRE, Dorothy passed away at her residence, Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Monday, April 2, 2018. She was 91. Beloved wife of the late George Acre (1971). Dear mother of Bob Acre (Marlene Burgess) of Dunville, John Acre (Julie) of R.R.1, Eden, Steve Acre of Richmond and Butch Acre (Julie) of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Allison Stirling (Harold), Mike Acre (Cindy), Alyssa Acre and Tyler Acre. Great-grandmother of Brandon, Alex, Liam and Leila. Sister of David Winters (Ruth) and Betty Brown of Terrace Lodge (late Harold).  Sister-in-law of Elsie Acre of Richmond and Bill Henderson (Marie). Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter-in-law Velma Acre, sisters Ruth Ann DeWaele, Beatrice Henderson and brother Art Winters. Born on March 2, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Dowson) Winters. Dorothy was a member of Richmond United Church and of Arkess Rebekah Lodge #168, Springfield. The funeral service was held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the H. A, Kebbel Funeral Home.
