Dan Bearss

It is with great sadness that the family of Dan Bearss, a much loved husband, father and grandfather, announce his passing at Terrace Lodge on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the age of 82. Dan was an exceptional man, adored by his family, wife Cathy, sons Grant, Andrew(Jen) and daughter Susan Gobeil(Mike) as well as 9 grandchildren. Dan was a proud retired farmer having spent years farming in the Springfield area and he previously owned and operated Bearss Grounds Maintenance throughout Elgin County from 1980 to 2017, wherein honesty and integrity was his motto.

As well as his wife, children and grandchildren he is survived by brothers Ron(Donna), Glenn(Penny) and sister Connie DePhillippeaux.  Predeceased by his parents Harry Bearss (2007) Violet(Thompson) Bearss (2009) and brother Carl Bearss (2011).

Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. with a private family funeral the following day.  A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at a future date.
