Alice Boussen
Alice Eugenia (Martens) Boussen, a resident of Aylmer for the past 60 years, passed away quietly, surrounded by family at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday June 7, 2024 in her 100th year. Alice was born September 2, 1924, in Sint Jansteen Holland and emigrated with her family to Canada in August 1926.
Survived by her beloved husband of 77 years, Francis Alphonse Boussen and her dear sister Agnes Deketeleare (late Andy).
Alice was predeceased by her siblings Theophile Martens, Anthony Martens, Eugenia Staal, Alphonse Martens, Joseph Martens, William Martens, Mary Van De Wynckel and Robert Martens.
Loving mother to Carole Wisch (Gerry), Patricia Wray (Michael Andrews), Frank Boussen (Mary Lou Greenwood). Proud Grandma of Jim Nevill (Maryann), Jerry Nevill (Vicki), Dana Sinclair (Duncan), Curtis Wray (Susie), Danielle Boussen-Hebden and Angela Patterson (Doug). Sadly, missed by her great-grandchildren Trey Nevill, Kaitlin Ouellette (Jacob) and Jacob Nevill; Jacob, Logan and Olivia Wray; Coll Sinclair; Gwen and Zac Hebden; Wren and Nathan Patterson and her great-great-grandchildren, Felix and Xavier Ouellette.
A funeral mass will be held at the Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
