Charles Albert Acre

October 22, 1960 – July 18, 2025

With sadness, the family of Albert Acre announces his peaceful passing on July 18, 2025 at Sakura House, in his 65th year, after a 3-year courageous battle with cancer.  Predeceased by his dear wife Carol (nee Creamer), his father Nick Acre and his niece Erin McGuire.  Albert is lovingly remembered by his mother Elsie Acre, his siblings Lew, Viola Neale and Joe, his sisters-in-law Lynn and Donna, Carol’s sisters Christine (Tom) McLean and Cindy (Rod) Mood and their families, his nieces and nephews Charlotte, Jaclyn, Jessica, Lewie, Joe, Shannon and Lucas. Albert is missed by his friends John, Jim, Chris and Dave as well as his entire Systemair family.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ernst of the London Cancer Clinic, Dr. Jamala of Palliative Care, Randie and JoeAnna of Care Partners, the staff of TDMH and Sakura House for their excellent care during Albert’s cancer journey. Special thanks to John Swartz who was there for Albert throughout this journey, from the diagnosis to his last breath.

In keeping with Albert’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday July 31, 2025 at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, (519) 842-5221, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, Ont., N4G 3T6, with visitation to be held from 12:30 – 3:30  p.m. with “Words of Remembrance” to be held at 3:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service to be held at the Richmond Cemetery.  Rev Paul Robinson will be officiating at Richmond Cemetery
