Sofia Nasswetter

Nasswetter, Sofia of Aylmer passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her daughters at AgeCare Aylmer on Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was 85 years old. Beloved wife of the late Georg Nasswetter(1998). Dear mother of Rosemary Nasswetter, Debbie Kirschner(John) and Karen Versteegen(Jeff) all of Aylmer. Loving grandma of  Dylan, Missy, Johnny, Jessica, Kimberly(Joey), Samantha, Becky(Charlie), Jeffrey, Mathew(Lily), Alicia(Ethan) and Dalton and great-grandma of Ethan, Xander, Khloee, Sophia, Jackson and Reggie. She will also be missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Michael Weber and sister Maria Ohler. Born in Bistritz, Romania on December 14, 1939, daughter of the late Michael and Maria (Zehschnetzler) Weber. Sofia came to Canada in 1954, where she later met her husband and together they built a life on the farm. She carried with her the traditions and strength of her heritage, and the qualities that shaped her family. Sofia found great joy in tending her gardens and will be dearly missed; especially by her loyal feline friend, Gypsy the cat. A private family service will be held at a later date at the Aylmer Cemetery. Donations to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer Society Southwest would be appreciated.
