Myrna Hotchkiss

Hotchkiss, Myrna formerly of Aylmer passed away peacefully at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, Windsor on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was 91 years old. Beloved wife of the late Paul Hotchkiss. Dear mother of Anne Van Heukelom(Rick) of Fort Myers, Florida. Loving grandmother of Tyler Van Heukelom(Dayna) of Shelby Township, Michigan and Sheena Teachout(A.J.) of Franklin, Tennessee. Great-grandmother of Carter, Sydney and Mason. She will be missed by her sister Maxine Atkins of Ancaster and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Mason Barnes and a sister Merle Hallows. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and lived on Centennial Ave. Along with Paul, they owned and operated the Roadside Restaurant on Talbot Street West. Later, they operated J.P. Hotchkiss Nursery in Sparta. Myrna was a retired hairdresser at Maria’s Beauty Salon. Born in Windham Township, Ontario on April 1, 1932, daughter of the late Bruce and Helen “Maisie” Barnes. A celebration of Myrna’s life will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
